English Language Challenges

My experience learning English at the university was a little frustrating, because I know the importance of learning English in a the globalized world and the necessity of learn it for the future of work and travel. But sometimes I felt that I could using my time in a better way, I mean, I think 3 hours of English is a little too much for all the things we need to do for the university.  So, about the use of blogs I think is important to cover the writing area because is a difficult skill of the English, so I would not eliminate it. But I think we should eliminate the second block and have the possibility of make the blog until the 12 of night. In that way each students can choose the optimal moment on the day for make the blog. On the other hand, about the aspect of my English that I need to improve, I think I have problems with the pronunciation and with the fluency in my speaking because I used to get a little nervous. PERSONAL OPINIONS

What is your opinion about child labor? I think the child labor is a serious problem in Chile. Too many years ago, was normal to saw children working alone in the streets or with their parents, because the life conditions were different. The access to education was limited to the poor people and the family get forced to work for survive. At present, there are still child labor but I think we don´t have to normalize this situation. We should to support the poor families and give free education for the children. What is your opinion about tattoos? I think the tattoos are beautiful; the tattoos are an old type of body art. And if someone wants to get a tattoo it´s okay! I really don´t care about what people do with their lives and with their bodies. I am not sure if I would have a tattoo because I get bored so fast haha but I like it so much! Even I would like to learn to tattoo someday. What is your opinion about legalizing marijuana and other drugs? I am agreeing with legalizing

Leisure Activities

My relationship with sports was good when I went to school, I liked to run and I was the fastest of my class, I also played soccer and I even won some medals. But when I started to grow, that desire and energy diminished, so now I don't practice any sport. The only physical activity that I like to do is ride a bicycle because it helps me to clear up. I have also thought about doing sports more related to self defense such as taekwondo or karate because it could be useful for a dangerous situation. I think I should do more sport, but I don't like it very much, because I get tired very quickly and in this moment of my life I don´t have so much time for make physical activity in a permanent way. But, if I had to talk about some leisure activity that I like to do a lot, that would be to draw and paint. Since I was a child I started doing it and since there, I never stoped, (even in a corner of the notebook while I'm in classes). On the other hand, I started painting a lit

POSTGRADUATE STUDIES

When I decided to study in the University I was between arts or sociology, it was a hard decision to me, but then I decided to study sociology because gives me the option to delve in the art area. So I would like to course a postgraduate associated to Art and Culture subjects. Some postgraduates that I would like to study are a Master in Theory and History of Art and Master in Cultural Management. The master in Theory and History of Art contribute to the development of studies and research in theory, history of art, aesthetics and art studies in general. And the master in Cultural Management is about the study of culture, artistic expressions, cultural policies, legal aspects and economic-administrative areas for design development plans and manages cultural projects. I am very interested in the last one, because I really would like to work in the cultural area of a municipality or museum. I obviously would like to study in other country like Italy, Spain or Holland for lear

My favorite music

When I was a child I used to listen pop music because my sister listened this type of music all the time. But when I was 13 years old I started to listen rock and indie. I remember I was reading “Eleanor and Park” and in this book mentioned a lot of 80’s bands, so I search these bands in internet. In this moment I discover The Smiths and I fall in fall in love with their sounds, lyrics and style, so it became in my favorite band. After that I start an obsession with the indie music. I start to listen Chilean indie music, like Prehístoricos, Dënver, Javiera Mena and more. One day in my search of music I discover The Drums and I fall in love again, so now it’s my favorite band. The Drums is an indie-pop band, the band have an 80’s style but was formed in 2008, and actually is more popular.   It’s my favorite band because their sounds and lyrics make me feel so nostalgic but happy at the same time. My favorite album is Portamiento and I know all theirs songs.

PETS

During the curse of my life I have had a lot of pets. I remember I had birds, fishes, bunnies, a chicken, a turtle and a hamster. But three pets are more important to me. The first, was my turtle Chilly Willy, it was a gift of my sister in law for my 15 th birthday. One day Chilly get lost, I was so sad because I was looking for him for long time and I thought it was dead. But two months ago my sister in law found Chilly in my garden, it was alive but blind. I will never know how it was survived. The second pet important to me was Homero, the most beautiful bunny in the world. Homero had brown and white fur, it was chubby and soft. One day Homero got sick and we had to sacrifice him. I had never cried so much in my life. The last pet important to me was Willy, my hamster. It was a gift of my sister in law for my 17 th birthday. Willy died in February. Willy was so lazy but I loved him so much. The dream of my life is to have a dog and someday it will be come true.

My best Holidays

My best holyday was this summer. I went to beautiful places and a travel to other country. The January 1st of this year I went to Viña del Mar with my family, we stayed one night in the Marisol Hostal, and during the day we went to the beach and we ate York ice creams, a traditional ice cream of this city. Then, we came back to Santiago.  In these times I remember I was a little stressed because I had to make two exams for the University, finally I pass my exams and I was so happy.  A few days after this, I traveled to Perú with my family again; it was my first trip to another country. First, we stayed in the Silma Hotel, for one week. The activities we did, was visit to many Restaurants and taste the Peruvian food, we visited the touristic places and we also went to the Peruvians markets and bought clothings, shoes and more things. Then, we came back to Santiago. The next week it was my birthday number 19. And finally we went to San Sebastian beach for a week. So, this was my b
